Research Methods Knowledge Base
There is a new online textbook available written by the former president of the American Evaluation Association, Michael Trochim. The intent of this book is to provide students and researchers with information about research and evaluation, including measurement, sampling, analysis, and writing.
The full textbook must be purchased, but there are several subsections which are available at this link.

Youth Development Insight blog
The University of Minnesota has started a new blog called Youth Development Insight. Every Wednesday new topics around youth development will be posted for discussion. They encourage participation from youth development professionals around the country.

Healthy living article
This 2010 article in BMC Public Health is an evaluation of a health promotion project in the Girl Scouts youth development program. The authors randomized Girl Scout troops to intervention or control and trained troop leaders to implement physical activity and healthy eating policies. BMI did not differ significantly between intervention and controls, but intervention troops reported more physical activity than controls.
