Volunteer Spotlights

Beth, Mariposa County

Camp Tweety
For nine years, Beth has led a variety of projects that influence young people to explore the outdoors. From archery to marine biology, Beth's enthusiasm for nature has inspired youth to get outside and learn new skills.

As the Camp Director for Mariposa county's Camp Tweety, Beth motivates campers and counselors to be innovative and enthusiastic. In 2009, Camp Tweety had a record number of campers and a wide range of activities, workshops, and crafts.

As a project leader, Beth is a dedicated volunteer who teaches youth about safety, leadership, and fun. Her rocketry project is a popular project at her club, and her archery skills have benefited both the archery project members and the campers at Camp Tweety. It is because of volunteers like Beth who are willing to share their knowledge and skills with others that the 4-H Youth Development Program is such a success.
