Dee, Los Angeles County

Dee, Palos Verdes Peninsula 4-H Club, Los Angeles County

Dee Keese
Palos Verdes Peninsula 4-H Club has been lucky to have Dee as a volunteer for 35 years and the Community Club Leader for 32 years. Through her involvement, creativity, and selfless dedication, Dee has brought diverse projects to the club. From Video Production to Martial Arts to Beekeeping, Palos Verdes Peninsula members have the opportunity to take many innovative projects. This club is the first in the nation to offer a Surfing Project!

Dee has been an invaluable mentor to 23 All Stars from her club. She has led the "Junior All Star Program" in her county, as well as served as the Los Angeles County Summer Camp Director for 23 years.

As a volunteer, Dee goes beyond the call of duty to bring new activities, projects, and community service opportunities to her 4-H members. As a mentor, hundreds of youth have been positively impacted by her motivation and positive attitude. Dee has been rewarded with numerous awards over the years, most recently the Golden Clover Award in Outreach and Collaboration.
