Nancy, Gold Country 4-H Club, Placer County

Nancy Washman
Nancy co-founded the largest 4-H club in Placer County, Gold Country 4-H Club and has been its Community Club Leader for over ten years. Within this club, she has led over 20 projects, ranging from Sewing to Citizenship to Dog Obedience. Nancy has also been a State Ambassador Advisor for the 2005 - 2006 State Ambassador Team, as well as a member of the State Field Day Committee for four years.

Her embodiment of the 4-H values - making the best better - is exemplified by her dedication to the 4-H youth of her county. Not only does she have vast knowledge of the 4-H Youth Development Program, she also has a vision of 4-H that creates a comfortable environment and well-rounded club. She has spent years of her life leading by example and encouraging youth to take leadership roles within the club and county.

One of Nancy's co-leaders believes that "Nancy's attention to detail in the areas of record books, presentations, leadership, community service, and citizenship has inspired our club members to shine."
