Biography

Scott Mautte has over 30 years of experience in youth development, community education, and training. He has a master’s degree in Organizational Learning and Performance from Colorado State University, and has served in positions such as Assistant Training Manager/Instructional Designer, 4-H Statewide Community Education Specialist, Training Specialist, Program Supervisor, and Director of Program Services. Prior to returning to CA 4-H, Scott served at the University of California Risk and Safety Training Community of Excellence (housed under the Office of the President), Youth Development Network, City of Sacramento, and Camp Fire USA. 

Scott loves people and has a deep passion for developing and supporting staff and volunteers. His personal mission is to use his gifts, talents, and strengths to add value to people and organizations. 

Scott participates as a training, education, or instructional design professional in statewide 4-H programs or projects. He selects technologies and tools, creates supportive learning activities, and develops new training in response to 4-H staff and volunteer needs. In collaboration with others, Scott creates multimedia content and produces according to an established schedule. He analyzes needs and develops recommendations to address a wide range of training issues. Scott provides the support for testing courses to ensure they are functional, designed for learning in mind, and compliant with learning management systems.
