Spotlight-Dylan
Leadership has become a large part of Dylan’s eight year 4-H membership.  For the past two years, he has been a counselor for his county’s primary member summer camp, and he is looking forward to serving as a counselor for the older members’ camp in coming years.

As 4-H club president, Dylan has learned to be helpful and approachable.  He also had the opportunity to go to LCORT, a regional leadership conference.  At this conference, he learned much about parliamentary procedure and other skills.  These lessons have helped him become a better junior leader and public speaker.  LCORT inspired him to become a member of Hi-4-H in high school and eventually a county All Star.

Dylan has chaired many community service events, like a children’s coat drive that collected over 250 coats.  He has also achieved his Emerald Star through his “rabbit library” service project.  Dylan plans to achieve the Platinum Star rank, and with his incredible leadership skills and 4-H involvement, this goal is definitely attainable!
