Jr. Master Food Preserver 4-H Project
The University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR) Youth, Families, & Communities Program is excited to announce the creation of the Jr. Master Food Preserver 4-H Project, a collaboration between the Master Food Preserver (MFP) and 4-H Youth Development (4-H YDP) Programs. Beginning in the fall of 2016, this project combines the strengths and research-based knowledge of both programs to provide youth with opportunities to become Jr. Master Food Preservers. Through the project, the youth will develop leadership and citizenship skills while teaching their community about safe home food preservation techniques.
This Project is approved for counties with active UC Master Food Preserver and 4-H Youth Development Programs with appropriate academic support.
