Program Design & Activities

When designing a quality 4-H camp experience, most people think of the activities that happen at camp.  However, activities are only one aspect of camp program design.  Program is about everything that happens at camp:  sleeping arrangements, doing chores, traditions, and scheduling.  It is also about how things are done at camp:  whether days are pre-scheduled, age-appropriate, camper or staff designed, youth or adult led.  How the camp program is designed will produce different outcomes for campers and staff.
