Mission & Purpose

Camp programs vary in their purposes and their philosophies in working with young people.  While 4-H camps may offer a variety of activities and serve different age groups, a common philosophy creates the foundation for what happens in a 4-H camp experience.  When camp administrators and staff understand the 4-H mission, they can be mindful of how to build a safe, high-quality program to achieve certain outcomes.  They know their program goals and when they achieve them.
