  • Planning Committees for statewide events and contests such as State Field Day, State Horse Classic and State Leadership Conference
  • State Advisory Committees- work on ways to improve the 4-H program in California

Recognition for your accomplishments

4-H members gain skills for life! Show your progress and achievements by earning pins and certificates for different milestones. The Achievement Program and the Record Book are optional opportunities to expand on your learning.

The Achievement Program gives you incentive to try new things, find your spark, and grow your skills so you can use your spark to make a difference in your community.

The Record Book gives you the opportunity to practice and grow your skills in record keeping and goal management.

Your 4-H Resume is a good way to draft a personal resume of your accomplishments in 4-H that can also apply to jobs.

California 4-H has statewide awards such as the Golden Clover and Diamond Clover Awards. National 4-H has the Youth in Action Award, which recognizes outstanding 4-H'ers making a difference in their communities.
