Collegiate 4-H Volunteers

Collegiate 4-H

Are you a college student with a desire to support youth and the 4-H program?  Collegiate 4-H volunteers provide an essential role within the CA 4-H Youth Development Program by providing service and support to local, regional, and state 4-H programs.   Prior 4-H experience is not necessary, only an interest in the 4-H ideals and in serving the community.

Collegiate 4-H Volunteers ...

  • Help local 4-H programs with events and activities
  • Provide regional support as committee members, overnight chaperones, program assistants, resident advisors for regional camps and conferences
  • Provide statewide support as committee members, overnight chaperones, program assistants, resident advisors for statewide committees, conferences, and events.

How to Enroll as a Volunteer

Collegiate 4-H adult volunteers enroll in 4-H as adult volunteers and follow all of the enrollment screening and orientation processes as required by the state and county 4-H YDP.  Enrollment should be completed in the county of residence (where they are currently living) or their county of permanent residency (usually the county where their parents reside in CA) when attending school out of California.

Collegiate 4-H adult volunteers are expected to adhere to the 4-H Adult Volunteer Code of Conduct and all CA 4-H policies
