Where: San Joaquin Robert J. Cabral Agriculture Center, 2101 East Earhart Avenue Suite 200, Stockton, CA 95206.

On November 8, 2014, North Central Sectional Skills Day will be held at the San Joaquin Robert J. Cabral Agriculture Center, 2101 East Earhart Avenue Suite 200, Stockton, CA 95206.  There will be 5 sessions, at 30 minutes long throughout the day.  There will also be fun life skill stations and primary member activities.  There is a list of the workshops and life skill stations on the 4-H website to choose from.  http://4h.ucanr.edu/News/Calendar/?calitem=247271&g=1245  Check in will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the day will conclude at 3:00 p.m.  If you pre-register by October 25th, there will be a $10 fee.  Any time after that and same day registration will be 15 dollars.  The fee will cover the day’s events as well as a taco salad lunch.

The key note speaker, Lynette J. Ward, a past Diamond Star from Sacramento County will be talking about career consulting and her experiences with 4-H. She will also be running two workshops called Translating 4-H to Resumes and Interviews, and 4-H Actions + Results = Resume Builders.  We will be having a community service drive for Transitional Learning Center for homeless children, so we ask that you bring school supplies for students from K – 6 grade.  There will be an All-Star roundtable during the second workshop session to improve our county All-Star programs.  We are inviting all past, present and future All-Stars that are available to attend the roundtables.  Along with these sessions, we are also having fun learning sessions to learn things like smoothie making, dog obedience, dancing, sewing, and having fun with lego blocks.  If you have questions, contact Lorita Sutton at loritas@sbcglobal.net

A separate room will have life skills stations, judging contests and fun activities for primary members. This year we would like to challenge each county to contribute and put on at least one workshop.
