Lauren, Country Centre 4-H Club, Sacramento County

Lauren Knapp
Compassion and dedication are two qualities that make Lauren a natural leader, and they have helped her become an important part of her local 4-H Club. For eleven years, Lauren has been a member of Sacramento county's Country Centre 4-H Club, and since the age of 7 she has been taking on leadership roles in her club.

Lauren is sensitive to the special needs of the members in her club, and is able to work with all people with respect, integrity, and understanding. She is able to mentor her members and assist them with their problems without simply giving them the answer. Her ability to guide and instruct while letting others learn is what makes her an "exemplary 4-H member and youth leader," according to her club leader.

From various club officer positions to camp cook to Junior and Teen Leader positions, Lauren has found numerous ways to get involved and spread her positive influence throughout the 4-H Youth Development Program at the club, county, and even state level. Her dedication was recently rewarded with a Golden Clover Award in the category of Dillon Percy 4-H Member Leadership.
