See what you have to look forward to!
The California State Leadership Conference (SLC) is a tremendous undertaking organized by a team of dedicated leaders and members. The conference is organized by the State Ambassadors, Adult Advisors and the SLC Planning Committee, but could not be accomplished without help from the Technology Leadership Team and the SLC Support Group.
SLC Support Group
Teen leaders participate in the implementation of State Leadership Conference through the SLC Support Group. Applicants must be eligible to attend State Leadership Conference. View the 2016 SLC Support Group job description.
To be a member of the SLC Support Group you must attend the mandatory in-person orientation on June 5th at the State 4-H Office 2801 Second Street, Davis, CA 95618.
SLC Planning Committee
The entire conference is planned by the SLC Planning Committee - a team of high school 4-H members and adult volunteers. Working in strong youth-adult partnership, they design the educational, recreational and logistical components of the conference.
Program Assistants help the youth delegates to have the most amazing leadership experience possible. This year we have some wonderful alumni who signed up to help out as Program Assistants! Come to SLC to meet them!
Adult volunteers are key to making this a safe and memorable activity. Having dedicated adult chaperones who commit themselves to the safety and well-being of the youth participants during the entire event (24 hours a day!) is a HUGE commitment. Thank you for considering serving in this capacity.
